About Us
Welcome to the neighborhood.
Plymouth Estates Association
Plymouth Estates was established in 1972. Our beach and parkinglot were once part of The Long Pond Trust. Once there were a sufficient number of residents in the neighborhood (28), they joined together to form an association. A working committee was formed and by-laws were written with the help of a resident attorney as legal advisor. In June of that year the first officers were elected. In August papers were filed with the Secretary of State incorporating Plymouth Estates Association as a nonprofit organization. The beach and parking lot (Lot 13) were deeded to Plymouth Estates for one dollar!
Their vision that first year was "to promote a better social welfare, civic responsibility and neighborhood unity of purpose." Today our vision remains the same. It was recognized that the common bond and meeting place of the neighborhood is the beach. The beach is our most valuable asset and the board established a committee to oversee the maintenance and improvement of the beach.
As the neighborhood grew greenbelts became part of the Plymouth Estates Association. Greenbelts are open spaces throughout the neighborhood that are protected and owned by the Plymouth Estates Association. These Spaces are for our enjoyment and must not be encroached upon by the residents.
We hold an annual meeting where new officers are elected, committees are formed, and issues impacting our neighborhood are discussed. The participation of our residents and payment of our annual dues are what allows us all to have a beautiful private beach, private parking and greenbelts. This ensures the value of our property and the uniqueness of our neighborhood.
The neighborhood includes; Haven Road, Constitution Drive, Independence Drive, Anchor Road, Clark Road, Oar and Line Road, unity Circle, Thatcher Road, Long Pond Road between Haven and Clark Road.
